I have a wealth of personal and professional experience of life. Being disabled has its drawbacks, but it can spur you on to achieve. I was born with a physical impairment and being with other disabled people, with every kind of impairment, has always been a great joy to me. Professionally, I gained a degree in psychology and went on to teach and then to work as an educational psychologist. Later I developed freelance work as a trainer in disability issues and eventually worked all over the country with parents of disabled children, police, social workers, teachers and many, many others, offering training and consultancy in protecting disabled children from abuse. So I am confident in my ability to help a wide range of people, from children through to older people, whatever their background.
At a personal level, pain has been a feature of my life for the last 40 odd years, from intermittent, merely annoying pain, right through to excrutiating nerve pain. That is why it delights me to be able to offer the gentlest of all therapies, HYPNOTHERAPY, to others. As someone who has used counselling in my life for over 30 years, I know its immense value — and also its limitations. I have found that whilst counselling skills are essential for a hypnotherapist, hypnotherapy can achieve quicker and more powerful results, without having to drag people through great emotional pain.
You do NOT give up control during hypnotherapy, you GAIN control. Hypnotherapy is deeply relaxing and usually life changing, sometimes in just 1 session, especially combined with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), commonly known as tapping. EFT uses a combination of therapist insight and the client tapping on certain acupuncture points, to undo the attachment of troubling emotions to particular memories. It is extraordinarily powerful, ensuring that people can speed through their problems — whatever the trauma, you don't expect to have to come back for years on end. So, at a time when we are all worrying about our finances, it is much better value than many other therapies. Try it!
It has been shown by medically trained doctors that hypnotherapy is the best treatment for chronic Irritable Bowel Syndrome and research suggests that it is also one of the most effective ways to stop smoking.
Using HYPNOTHERAPY and EFT, or tapping, I can help you control your pain, lose phobias completely, reduce stress and anxiety, control your weight, stop smoking, build your confidence and much more.
